Community Education

Hospice By The Bay serves as a resource to the community on end-of-life issues and grief by educating and elevating awareness on a wide variety of topics, including:

  • Hospice Services and Benefits
  • Comfort Care for Terminally Ill Patients
  • Pain and Symptom Management
  • Palliative Nutritional Care
  • Anticipatory Grief and Loss
  • Bereavement Issues for Caregivers
  • Hospice Care in the Nursing Facility
  • How to Talk About End-of-Life Issues
  • Spiritual Issues of Dying Patients
  • Advance Care Planning and Advance Directives
  • HIV/AIDS/Hepatitis B

Educational programs, as well as memorial services and grief support groups, are available to our community partners, including social service agencies, long-term care facilities, and healthcare professionals.

In addition, Hospice By The Bay provides information to the community through participation at community health events and ongoing presentations to civic and social organizations.
